Game Library of Races

I put up a couple of races into the library, to get things started. You can find them at the game library.

Currently, there are only humans and drones. There are dozens of other races on the substation as well, although most of them will not be available for character creation. Also, not everyone will be aware of all the races, as some are secretive or in distant parts.

allowed referendums

change the type of government/society
change the name of the government/society
change the stated mission of the government/society
discharge a listed member(s) from the government/society
accept a listed member(s) into the government/society
change the title of an active leader
elect a new leader to replace another leader (only allowed during government's election period)
impeach an existing leader without replacement
change the tax rate (from 0% to 20%, in 0.1% increments)
change the daily salary (EC only) of a single leader, or of all leaders
give a single amount (EC, Property, Item) to single leader/all leaders/single member/all members

Layout

First will be layout. This is a generic layout that is set up right now. Don't get attached to it.

I'd love to hear ideas for the layout of this site. I'm thinking blacks and violets and greens for now, a soft neon. Machine look as well.

I'm planning to create some artwork for it, but if there are artists out there who would like to help create stuff for the site, feel free to let me know!

plans for governments

When a new group has been created, a private forum will be created for them. Only characters who have joined the group & have been accepted by the group's rules will be allowed to view those forums. When a charter has been created for a group, the creator may set group membership with one of the following options:

* anarchy - anyone may join without any approval
- no leaders
- government may be changed by 51% of active members approval
- anarchy never changes automatically
- anyone can make a referendum to change the government (which is the only allowed referendum in an anarchy). it passes only with majority of active members approval

Spindowners is Up!

Welcome to Spindowners!

Everyone gets a blog. And can post in the forums (when they're up). So make sure to create a user account, and be part of the early stages of the game.

For now, this web site is a dictatorship. I dictate all the rules. That may or may not change in the future; depends on the direction things take. For instance, I may someday find it necessary to appoint moderators or authors for the site. We'll see.

This isn't the post explaining the whole game. My vision for it is pretty big. But I'll try to give an overview.
